musicplayr.com plans to help remix the web with our “takeaway playr” – an online music player that you can easily add to your blog, website or webzine. It is the first truly open and usable playr for streaming freely available songs and music videos to viewers of your site. Many other players on the web function more like links to music services that force the user to log in. Not us. We want to unchain the music for fans so they can get the love out there.

How it works

Simplicity is key. Just log into your account and head to musicplayr.com/?_=/embed/ in the settings area of your account. There you’ll find the different designs for your embeddable “takeaway playr”.

Minimal Playr 200 x 200 px

The first layout is the minimal playr that’s perfectly suited to very slim website columns. Here, only your profile picture is displayed above the playr. When you start the playr and the song you are listening to is a music video, your profile picture disappears and the video is shown. You can also select if your minimal playr should be displayed in black or white.

Standard Playr 260 x 419 px

We added a small bar to the standard playr that displays all your followers on musicplayr. It is 60px wider than the minimal playr, 408 px high and available in black and white. Videos are also played in the header that replaces your profile picture.

Custom Playr

You can create an add-on for your site with the custom playr and define this in the size you want. You can also decide if you want to add your followers in the header. If you only show your header picture and create a very wide playr, your videos receive the maximum space to play on your website.

Copy & paste your code

The last step is also straightforward. After clicking on the playr you like, a box opens with the corresponding javascript, ready for you to copy and paste right into your website.

Done – ready to run on your site!
